Removing the valve
Before you can fill your pen with ink, you must remove the ink valve.
Using your fingernail or a thin blade, gently pry off the ink valve from the top of the clear pen body. If it is resistant, carefully pry all the way around it and it should pull right out.
Set this valve aside, we'll need it again in a minute.
